The acronym “WILD” (Wireless Interactive Learning Devices) is new for me, but using mobile technology is definitely not.  I have been wrapped up in using iPads, mobile devices and laptops since 2000, having gotten a MacBook Pro when they first came out.  I was so happy walking around with that (now) clunky laptop with the Apple logo.  I was STYLING, ha ha.

20 years later, EVERYONE has access or at least 2 or 3 mobile devices and more if you go into the Penn State Library.  It is safe to say that mobile devices have encompassed all of our everyday lives.

In reading the article, “WILD for Learning”,  Roy Pea and Heidi Maldonado take us through the motivation, history, features, and power of mobile devices and should give us the insight into the future of these WILD devices.
